Fort Langley National Historic Site

Did you know?

We understand and appreciate that your pet is an important member of your family. Pets are permitted outside the fort walls but must be on a leash at all times. Pets are not permitted inside the historic fort walls, the Visitor Centre or the historic buildings.
Registered service animals are welcome within the site and historic buildings. Please ensure to have your Guide Dog and Service Animal Certification with you when visiting.

A 48-km drive from downtown Vancouver, Fort Langley National Historic Site can be explored in a day, including an audio tour of the fur trade era buildings, heritage gardens and farm, and the interactive Xplorers and blacksmith experiences. Overnight oTENTik adventures within the palisade allow time to discover riverfront trails, local farms and wineries, and to wander through the shops and cafes in the nearby village of Fort Langley.

Directions

Fort Langley is located along the Fraser River, 6 kilometres north of Trans-Canada Highway 1 in Langley Township.

By car: From Highway 1, take exit 66, 232nd Street (north). Follow 232nd Street North to the stop sign on Glover Road. Turn right and follow Glover Road through the village of Fort Langley. Turn right at the traffic light on Mavis Avenue. The national historic site is at the end of the street.

By bus: To visit by public transportation, take the 562 bus to the nearest stop on 96th Avenue at Glover Road. To plan your route, visit the translink website.

Please note that the Glover Road crossing will be closed for construction between University Drive south of Highway 1 and Telegraph Trail north of Highway 1. Detours will be in place beginning early March 2023 until summer 2024. Learn more here
