Angling Prohibition
WHAT: Pursuant to Section 35(1) of the Canadian National Parks Act Fishing Regulations, Johnson Lake reservoir and associated inflows and outflows are closed to fishing (see map).
WHERE: Banff National park
Why: To reduce the potential spread of whirling disease.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
