Prince Edward Island National Park

There are many scenic trails located within Prince Edward Island National Park, each with its own unique features. Meander along field edges and hedgerows, across floating boardwalks or through mixed woodlands. Discover spectacular vistas and a variety of species of birds and other wildlife.

List of hiking/cycling trails

Easy Family-friendly trails that are suitable for all visitors.
Moderate Medium-length trails with moderate elevation gain and some short, steep sections. Suitable for most visitors.
Difficult Longer trails with long, steep sections that are suitable for visitors who have trail experience and are prepared (proper equipment and water).

Dogs are welcome in PEI National Park and on the trails provided they are on a leash. Please do not leave your furry friend unattended at any time. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between April 1 and October 15 annually. Learn more about visiting PEI National Park with your dog on our website.

Off-season access

Trails and other facilities at PEI National Park are not maintained between Thanksgiving and Victoria Day each year. However, visitors are still welcome to use the trails. Please note: There will be limited emergency service provided by Parks Canada during this time.
